Reflection

well first i almost forgot about this part with doing therapy and doctor apt. I enjoyed the web design class i did not know what to expect. I think I enjoyed the photo shop the most. I'm not sure if i will be making a website any time soon but the important thing is that i learned how. The one thing that stuck out the most to me was the CRAP principals not only because of the word but because  every time i look at an add i am very judgmental  on how it looks. I wanted to say thank you and that i enjoyed the class.

Web 2.0

Upon reviewing all the options to create a website I chose webnode  it seemed very easy to navigate and there were nice templates to use. I am a very basic person and this did not seem to be to busy with colors and graphics. I have already started creating my website on webnode.

Storyboards

What is the purpose of using a storyboard? It is good to have your thoughts and ideas down on paper this gives you a place to start when you a creating a website. You have a some guide lines to go by. such as what is the main topic and what will be on the pages.
How will they help you with your final project? If the story boards are complete before you start this will help with time if you are using a template you will just have to plug in the information and view it in a browser and see if you need to edit and make any changes.

Summarize and Reflect

After reading chapters 13-15 and The web recourses on Diigo. I Have learned different tips and tricks when creating websites. Such as different keyboard short cuts and how to add and change graphics. Also in the reading I how to test and fix websites that I am creating. The reading was very helpful since we are in the process of creating our own sites there were other information on steps to take completing your website. This information will come handy for out lab.

Should anyone create a website?

Just because you have an internet connection and a laptop does not mean you should be creating web pages I think even if you have the basics down and create a basic page you should take more time to study and take some classes most of websites i have been on are very details and the information should be well organized in order to keep the customers interest in the page.

Advantages of creating your own site is that you don't have to pay someone to do the work for you. You are free to make changes whenever you need.
Drawbacks may be that it is very time consuming and if you are just learning how to design the detailed parts can be come frustrating. also if you are hiring someone else to create the website it could become expensive.

What are web pages?
In this chapter it guided you through creating a basic webpage. This chapter showed you how to format your text and change background colors and patterns of the page. Also it showed you how to create links and hyperlinks by highlighting what you would like to be the link and right clicking and selecting the option create link. also you can create an email link. I do believe most of these steps we have learned in class. Chapter 3 continues in adding graphics to your page with layers and how to create table and borders.
Chapter 4
Before you begin.
In this chapter it starts by showing you how to name your files and organizing them for easy access. Also creating a title for your page. chapter 4 continues to define the some of the vocab terms we defined in the beginning of our classes.

Navigation- The navigation of this website is very easy you select what gender of clothing to view and then select a type of garment you would like to view.
Visual appeal- The visual appeal is well done the bright colors are attractive to the eyes.
Purpose- The purpose of this website is to view the product that old navy sells and to make online purchases.
Loading time- The pages load rather quickly and you are able to navigate through each page without trouble.
Usefulness- This website is very useful to an online shopper or someone who does not want  to go to the store its self.
When browsing the old navy website the sale for that day is usually the first screen to come up along with the menu bar this is a great way to keep the customers interest in the web site and viewing the sale items.

Navigation- The navigation of this website is easy to work with they have a menu bar at the top of the page seperating there products by catagory, age, customer favorites and current specials.
Visual appeal- The visuals of the page tend to pop out at you they have new items on the first page and the pictures slowly change to see all new items.
Purpose-On this website you can view all product sold by step 2 and the new items coming to stores.
Loading time- The pages load rather quickly and the information is organized on the pages and under each item there is a link to view the detail of the product. this is very helpful when selecting toys for your children.
When browsing the step 2 website and viewing the product the information is very direct and helpful when choosing the products you may want purchase in the future.
