Will I be more critical?

The answer is yes. When creating your own websites and knowing how much work goes into the process you do become more critical of other websites.  I find myself asking questions as to how did they put this item here and why were these colors added here what would i change on the website. It is interesting when you know the details of something you focus on it more. The next time i create a website i will being paying more attention on the navigation of the page to make it easier for viewers to navigate on my webpage by using menu bars and lists to organize the information.

I picked the first design because it stands out more there are stand out visuals but its not over done. The navigation of the page seems very easy as well they are bolded with boxes around them which make it easy to identify what to click on.

Readability vs. legibility

Readability is referring to how easy it is to read a lot of text. The text should be a medium size not bigger then 14-18 and not smaller than 8-10. Text should be in short lines and only using small amounts of caps or bolding.
Legibility is referring to how easily recognizable short pieces of text. Text should be in all caps so all the text remains the same shape.

1. Upload your photo to photshop
2. Resize your image in resize image size to 72.
3. Make a copy of your backround by adding a layer.
4. Use your crop tool, magic extractor or lasso to remove the unwanted torists in the photo.
5. Save your image in the save as function.
6. Save your image in the save for web function and convert photo to a jpeg.

I liked penny's the most. The backround made her page look like an adventure and the look made you want to read her blogs.

Link List

Creating my link list was not to bad the first person i added was trial and errer. I did not add each persons name to there address so i had to go back and edit. After previewing I returned and made my corrections. This was not difficult to do.

Graphic Design

There are many types of graphic design. There are two differnent designers print and web.Print are designs to try and get the audience to stay on a page long enough to get the marketing message across.Web designs are to try and keep the audience on a specific website as long as possible. The layout of the design is the overall goal by using the elements of the design and presentation.

Graphic design plays a part in almost everything we touch. I have payed more attention to this since doing the reading. The desing of everyday items influence the choices of consumers. Name brand vs. generic brands are a good examples. Most items on the shelves of stores have graphic designs on the labels and these items can be identified by there design with out the product name. websites work the same way your home page for example can be identified by the design of the page. making the graphics a very important tool in everyday life.
